How often have you seen this (or done it)? You are in a dance club. There's a crowd of women dancing together. Suddenly, some little dude struts up behind one of the women. More often than not this guy is showing more chest hair than is legally allowed in many countries and has used so many hair products that he should come with a "Danger: Flammable" warning. He then proceeds to wrap his arms around the woman and grind with her suggestively. She turns around (probably with the intention of slapping him) and he takes this as a cue to grind her even more.

Allow me put this in the easiest terms as possible: this method has about as much a chance of succeeding as the Cincinnatti Bengals do of winning the Superbowl.

What could a guy who uses the grind technique be thinking? (A) He's so sexy that this woman will just be thrilled that he chose her to grind with...If he were so sexy he wouldn't resort to such methods. (B) Girls will dance with anyone who comes up to them...see above comments about Bengals winning Superbowl, or (C) She's very drunk and won't know what she's doing...What's that word? You know, that word? It starts with a P...? Pathetic? Is that it?.

Not only have I observed that guys have no success this technique, I've seen guys who are standing near these grinding incidents have much greater success. This is because many women who get "grinded" often look to the nearest man to save them from the loser. If that's not reason enough to avoid the grind method, I don't know what is.

Those of you who are more recent graduates of college probably have visions of frat parties in which drunken throngs of people would grind with anyone who approached them. But that was college, and, reasonably or not, many people viewed college as a protected environment. That attitude certainly does not exist anymore. Women do not usually feel safe dancing with strangers in the real world. The same techniques don't fly anymore, and nowhere is that more evident than with the grind method.

I think you get the idea, and you don't need a long tirade to get the point. Don't make the grind police stop you, and remember, if you're looking to get a date, the best first step is always talking, without exceptions.
