Here in New York, we men like to debate a truly important question. Who would you rather be: Mike Piazza or Derek Jeter? Both are star baseball players in the largest city in America. Both are slick dressing, good-looking guys who have been on the cover on GQ. Both have women swooning and screaming whenever they are near. Oh yeah, and both are rich. Undoubtedly, being either one would be any man's dream, so ultimately we're choosing between two winning choices. Still, if you were forced to choose to be one of them, who would you choose? Let's break this down, list all the pros and cons, and then you make your own choice.

Derek Jeter - Derek Jeter, the 25-year-old shortstop of the New York Yankees, is an amazing talent. A combination of defensive agility and prowess at the plate. And he dated Mariah Carey. Not bad for a kid from Kalamazoo, Michigan. The pros and cons of being Derek Jeter:

PROS:

  • You play for a pretty good team which has the bucks to pay you big time when you become a free agent
  • You play in New York, home of America's widest variety of hot women
  • You've won three World Championships with more on the way
  • You've got a phat bachelor pad on the Upper East Side and a home in Florida
  • You're huge in the New York club scene
  • Anywhere you go on the road, women line up for your attention, allowing you to sample the finest of all cities
  • You dated Mariah Carey

CONS:

  • You've been deemed a prodigy by the age of 25, so you better live up to it and put up those numbers
  • You play in New York, so media attention is focused on you all the time
  • You've won three World Championships, so it can only go downhill
  • You dated Mariah Carey, so it can only go downhill
  • 90 percent of the women lined up to get your attention are under the age of 15

Mike Piazza - Mike Piazza, the 30-year-old catcher of the New York Mets, is one of the richest men in baseball. He recently signed a 7-year, $91 million deal with the Mets that will pretty much set him up forever. He's perhaps the best hitting catcher in the history of baseball. The pros and cons of being Mike Piazza:

PROS:

  • You play for the New York Mets, who are becoming one of the most solid teams in baseball
  • You play in New York, home of the America's widest variety of hot women
  • You have yet to win a World Championship, so it's only uphill from here
  • Mature women of legal age are attracted to you, rather than the teenage fans of Jeter
  • You're huge in the New York club scene
  • You've got a mammoth house in New Jersey
  • You've signed a $91 million deal. You're rich as hell.

CONS:

  • You play for the New York Mets, which means you play at Shea Stadium, perhaps the worst baseball park next to the Olympic Stadium in Montreal
  • You have yet to win a World Championship, and you may never
  • Mature women of legal age are attracted to you, rather than the teenage fans of Jeter
  • You've got a mammoth house in New Jersey·instead of a phat pad in the city
  • You have to crouch behind the plate all the time
